First paycheck at my new theater...was it worth it? Worked 54.5 and 63.75 hours(118.25) and got paid for 80 hours. Go Go Salary.... Virgina tax is a hell of a lot higher than Ohio tax.... Not to mention the raise put me in a new income tax bracket..... $247 taken out for taxes....WTF! Was it worth it? Driving around Feb 2nd in sunny 72 degree weather definitly is a plus....it's still too early to judge. Only thing I can do is stick it out... |

It's so goddamn early, and I'm hitting the road on a 9-10 hour drive.....zzzzzzzz I'm excited, nervous, scared, [Insert Emotion Here]. Can't belive this all happened so quick! I just hope I can find an Apt that I like quickly, that I can move into next week. lol new boss already pushing me. |

/STRESS OUT!
Here's my schedule for the next few weeks..... 1-06 : Day off, start to pack and look for hotel. 1-07 : Work in OH 10am-10pm. 1-08 : Work in OH 10am-8pm. 1-09 : Work in OH 12pm-6pm, pack more. 1-10 : 6am leave for VA. Look for apt and check into hotel. 1-11 : Look for apt. 1-12 : Look for apt. Work in VA 6(or 8)pm-2am. 1-13 : FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH! My first official day as the Manager in VA. Look for apt(hopefully find one by now) Work in VA 6pm-12am. 1-14 : Work in VA 3pm-12am. 1-15 : DAY OFF! Probably familiarize myself with the area, or just sleep a ton. Fill in still that MUST be done. 1-16 : Work in VA 12pm-6(or 8)pm. 1-17 : Flight at 6:15am from VA to OH. Finish packing up all my stuffs. 1-18 : Pick up moving truck and get moving. 1-19 : Hopefully finish getting all my stuffs unpacked. Work 6(or 8)pm-12am. 1-20 : Start normal work week in VA. /panic! |

No word on the Virgina theater yet.....dunno if I'll actually hear anything unless I get it. So I guess if mid-January comes around and I'm not in VA, I didn't get it. Some serious drama going down at my current theater. I can't talk about it yet, but it makes me not want to go in. And I'm not even in any of it... In the game world, I'm BORED! I log in FFXI and stand in my mog house while I do stuff around the house. We(IRON) picked up Diablo 2(USWest Hardcore) for a bit of nostalgia. That was fun for a day, now I'm bored with it again. I dunno....maybe my stress from work is getting in the way of my gaming..... |

RL STUFF!
Hi, my name is Bob. I am 24 years old, and have worked at a movie theater for over 7 years. At the moment I am an Assistant Manager looking for my own theater. Not mine to own, just be the manager, enough of this second fiddle(I think that's the saying) stuff. The problem with this is, all the openings have been really really far away. I was kind of holding out for one close by, so I'm not too far from my family. Yes I still live at home, but I work 5 minutes away. Who could blame me? I have expressed interest in a theater in Virgina. Chesapeake, VA to be exact. The theater is quite old, 14(I think) years. After a few years, you'll find yourself in a large theater, making a ton of money on commission from the concession sales. This is not what I want to do for the rest of my life. No way in HELL I'll work in a movie theater for ever. This is just another step up. Anyway, I had to ask my current boss for a recommendation. I was quite worried about what he would write. When I finally got some time to sneak around his office, I FOUND IT! Here is what he wrote about me: Bob (last name) is a seasoned Cinemark manager. He has been with Cinemark for over seven years. He was an AMT(assistant manager trainee) for almost three years, which I attribute to some lack of motivation by his past managers. When I arrived at #034(my current theater) Bob had already started his training standard. I retrained him in several areas and he finished his training standard. Bob can routinely complete Monday and Thursday duties. When I am on vacation or away from the theatre for any extended period of time Bob keeps the theatre running smoothly. Bob is an important part of my hiring and training process. He is a leader among the managers and takes charge whenever the situation calls for it. I can count on Bob to keep the staff motivated and accomplishing our goals as a theatre. If you have any specific questions I would be more than happy to reply Sounds good to me, no? I'm excited to see what comes of this. This is the first time I've actually seriously considered a theater opening. Keep your fingers crossed for me, as they hope to have this position filled by mid-January. |

BORED!
New PC is so nice, I've been staying logged in the game. This allows me less time logging in and out. Also, I can check /tells and stuff while I was afk. This is the funniest one yet....  Next, without going into the story, or saying anything that will get me in trouble. This is for those that know already....  Random silliness, nothing like trash talking the LS leader while he's around....  I got Deirdre to say it to me! lol....  The most complicated 'orz' I've seen...  Yesterday, TWICE I had people say this to me, must be a sign that I am AWESOME!!   And last, but not least. Late night LS craziness. Aidama gets owned....  In game, I'm tracking down the Heaven's Rings that have been popping up lately. Sadly I'm broke(42k) and noone will loan me monies. Stupid WHM cost me over 5mil. At least I'm pretty much done buying gear for it. Hit 66whm last night, hope to get 70+ this week. I'll look so sexy in the blessed stuffs. Though, with the new merits(and slacking on redoing a few already) I might be stuck meriting brd for the next few weeks..... Can't wait to see what new time sinks SE is adding with today's maintenence. AF2+1 better not use dynamis currencies or they'll shoot up even higher in price. With just a few more items to buy for my BRD, I was looking to start collecting toward a horn of my own. And I hope the new areas drop BRD hat, and WHM body/pants. It's so far between Sandy runs, and I already feel like I'll never get the hat, adding a few more areas for Sunday runs will just increase the rarity. Also, we do Beacedine once in a blue moon, our WHM will probably never see af2 body, no way I can expect it either. Too much speculation right now, will just have to wait and see how it goes. |
